Boeing is Still Garbage, Elon is Still Garbage, and GoPro was Always Garbage

Today, I opened the internet and my various news apps to find that almost all of Boeing’s leadership has been asked to leave, here is why I do not care, and neither should you.

Nothing has changed. The company will bounce back and return, and of that, I feel sure. The stock price is about $185 today, in a year I feel confident the price will be about $250, but fluctuations in the stock price change nothing. My thesis is this: Boeing will never change, and you should never buy Boeing. It does not matter how many CEOs Boeing pitches; you never trust a snake. Boeing will have had three CEOs in five years when ole’ Cal finally cleans out his office with two in a row being forced out because Boeing keeps killing people. Here is the thing that I will continue to repeat throughout this article, Boeing’s culture cannot and will not ever change. Boeing will continue to pinch pennies, play it safe, and end up killing people or building awful airplanes. And none of this makes me happy. As a relatively patriotic, although occasionally contrary American, I want America’s preeminent aerospace company to be on top of its game, and it pains me to see the dirty commies of Europe (joke) with a far better aerospace company in Airbus.

Jim Cramer and Cathie Wood used to both be two of the more despised personalities in Pax Romana Capital headquarters (my room). Still, as Elon Musk continues to imbibe more drugs and say crazier stuff, he has begun to overtake both of them. I hate to write about him yet again, but he will not stop antagonizing me.

Elon is doing that thing again, that classic Elon move, of seeing red numbers on his screen and immediately announcing some garbage to boost the share price for a day. I do not know why people continue to buy his garbage, but eventually this must run out. Today, he announced Tesla is “stepping up promotion of the driver-assistance technology it calls ‘Full Self Driving Capability’” (WSJ). This Full Self Driving Capability or FSD is self-driving. Your car picks you up, you put in a destination, and your cars takes you there. The only problem with this technology is that it may not work. Over 35 people have died from Tesla’s self-driving technology, and Tesla is currently being investigated by the Justice Department and the SEC for claims that Tesla lied to shareholders and consumers about how advanced the technology was.

Idiots bought into Tesla because they believed Musk’s promises of hyper-futuristic technology. Then, smart people bought Tesla because they saw this hyper-futuristic technology in action. Unfortunately, none of those idiots or smart people thought about whether Elon Musk was the right man.

And finally, GoPro is dying. I am personally amazed that GoPro is still a functional company. I have not seen someone wear a GoPro in seven years, I have not heard or thought about GoPro in about that long, and oh yeah, THEIR BUSINESS IS DEFUNCT. Hey GoPro, ever heard of the iPhone? I mean, seriously, this is a perfect case study in a poor company. Sure, the price is super cheap, but that does not matter at all, if the company is bad and has few prospects, there are much better places to put your money. GoPro was a short burst of light extinguished by a failure to innovate and smothered in cash from Big Tech. The only reason I am even writing about such a pitiful company is because it’s sort of funny and because I saw a headline that GoPro was cutting jobs and remembered they existed. Please, for the love of Cramer, just invest in Microsoft.
